This week sucked. We both got colds and had zero inspiration. Scot finished the music for the song on Wednesday night and left it on the computer for me to listen to and formulate lyrics for on Thursday. I listened to it a few times through, but had nothing. I decided to take a break and go to the mall and do some Halloween costume shopping instead. I hate malls, but a store like Hot Topic seems to be a necessary evil when shopping for a fluffy neon tulle Cyndi Lauper skirt. All that shopping made me wish I had a sugar daddy to buy me countless pairs of paint splattered tights and arm fulls of glittery bangals. This song is written from the perspective of the poor, poor over taxed sugar daddy.
The inspiration seems to be returning as we are already settled on next weeks hit being about elephants in love! Elephants so big they could crush you to death, but they'd rather get a crush on you instead.

A Tumble
It's Fall! But it's a rather cold fall so far. We're burning song lyrics to keep warm. With all the news reports about sickness and predictions that this is going to be the coldest winter ever, SAAS Backward decided to write a fun, surf tinged piece of poptacular tunage. Kinda like the B52's vs. H1N1...maybe that should have been the title of the song. Think of this song as a flu vaccine that you can take auditorily! Anyway, it's a love song that draws upon autumnal imagery. Screw Spring, FALL is for lovers.

LadyLand
This week's hit is a Luv Club song. After a lifetime of doing two things: watching erotic thrillers and listening to divas sing their hearts out, Luv Club decided it was time for them to add their own strong lady ballad (with a twist!) to the cannon. The resulting song turned out to be much too powerful for any woman to actually ever sing, so we had to go with the next best thing and have Mink sing it. We also got assistance with the song from some boys that we snared at the local Pizza Hut and forced to put down their taco pizza and deliver some sass. If you believe in the power of The Lady, enjoy a good timpani solo or want a song to groove to while cuddling in your pink breast cancer awareness snuggie check out LadyLand.
Listening tip: this song sounds GREAT when played in tandem with the Luv Club song "Viola Knowledge" which is available on our myspace page.

Circuit Breaker
Last weekend Scot and Ann were driving when a Roxette song came on the radio. Inspiration soon took hold. Couple this with the band's longstanding love of the band Foreigner, and it only makes sense that a power ballad was at long last conceived. Dim the lights, draw yourself a bath, look sullenly through a rain spattered windowpane and enjoy this power's out ballad.

Knight Klub
This week's song is premature! And a little bit immature. That's right, it's a Luv Club song. One about clubbing! Bad clubbing. Like, have you ever been at a night club and known for sure that you were the smartest person in the room? Not to jump to conclusions or be judgmental, but you just feel like you're surrounded by the kind of people who would purposely spell words wrong becuz they think itz kewl to be badd at grammar and spelling? And you can tell all this just by what the people are wearing/drinking/dancing like? Maybe not, but listen anyway.

Down Clown
As promised, we've produced a clown song this week and with little time to spare. No clowning around for Scot and Ann this Friday night. In writing this song, it struck us that maybe being a clown isn't always so much fun. It seems like it might be a pretty thankless job. And we wonder, to a clown, does it always feel like someone else's birthday?

Crazy Face
The first song is done with time to spare, phew! It's more of a ditty than a song. And most specifically, a kitty ditty. We have this cat whose cuteness can only be matched by his cruelty. He's real mean, but we love him to death. And what genre of music is best suited to tell the tale of a love that actually physically hurts so bad? Country, of course.
Hope you all enjoy our first hit submission! As for next week, we've got clowns on the brain. Sad, sad clowns.
